For many years now, I have recorded my meditations/inspirations, and some of these have been collated into books. The first two, which were pure fantasy and escapism during a very painful period in my life, were Sinews of Heaven – Love and Loss. It was the first, and it remained buried for some fourteen years. It can now be found online after being rediscovered and published. The second, Crystals & Light, will be published later in 2026.
But for me, writing was always a process of “becoming”, a means of understanding, through language, the spiritual path that I was on and how that path and life itself had taken me through some very difficult passages. It has also encompassed deep love for my partner in life, abiding joy and gratitude for my children and grandchildren, and the blessing of wonderful friendships. Many of these gifts I still feel unworthy of, and that has been a theme.
A theme which I have tried to make sense of in The Library of Lives, which are contemporaneous accounts of the lessons which have spiralled throughout my life. Although they are written primarily as a form of meditation and spiritual development, I always hoped they would inspire others, really just to keep going and to feel worthy of love. Unconditional love.
I have had the blessing of being taught by some peerless spiritual teachers, and that has given me a firm foundation and a spiritual lexicon which has helped me describe what is essentially indescribable. While at the same time highlighting the myriad limitations of trying to do just that.
But I keep trying, and this blog is my latest attempt to record what is essentially inspirational speech on a regular basis. It really does feel like penpals communicating across the realms. So it will be updated when the busyness of life allows me the space to communicate with my spiritual guidance, guidance that is available to us all if we create the inner space for that light to fill us.
For that is all it is, flickers of light on the canvas of our lives, that once recognised echo in the chambers of our hearts and guides us gently forwards to fulfil the purpose of our unique but ever connected lives.
A nod to AI – anyone who knows me knows that proofreading is a struggle, not least because my formal education in this topic is nil and I have been exposed to many contradictory opinions. Here I asked AI politely to proofread, but that is the extent of its input.
